PhD opportunities are available across a wide range of disciplines within the Institute of Dentistry. Our policy is that our dental research should always be in the main stream of Biomedical Research, contributing to it and at the same time benefiting from strong interdisciplinary links.

We take particular care to ensure the progress of PhD student by instituting progression reviews at 9, 18 and 30 months to ensure that work progresses smoothly and ensuring students have 2 supervisors.
Overall responsibility for the research degree programme is delegated to the Director of Graduate Studies, Institute of Dentistry.
