Research interests:

Sharif Islam joins Queen Mary’s Institute of Dentistry in 2007 to contribute to both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. His research interest spans across a range of psychosocial determinants of health and illness that include inequality, social capital and substance dependence. Sharif has extensively researched oral tobacco dependence and its prevention strategy.
