I became the first dentist in Northumberland to achieve the MGDS RCS diploma. In 1992 I moved to London and took my Masters at the Eastman Dental Institute in Conservative Dentistry followed soon after by my MRD and FDS. By then I was employed part time at QMUL and part time in private practice but by 2001 I moved to full time academia.
