Miss Cullen trained as a dental nurse at the Eastman Dental Hospital and qualified in 2011. Miss Cullen worked in the department of Periodontology, where she gained extensive knowledge on all types of Restorative dentistry and specialised in non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment. During her time in this department, she has gained experience as a Senior Nurse managing a team of Dental Nurses.
Miss Cullen is a qualified phlebotomist and has gained clinical research experience by assisting chair side for surgical procedures along with assisting clinical research staff members and Postgraduates in their research projects, in the collection of data and intra oral samples.
Miss Cullen has participated and assisted in running a Dental Nurse Implant training course alongside a Consultant that was sponsored by the industry. She has also presented in the annual implant week on infection control and asepsis technique.
In April 2016 Miss Cullen joined the Centre for Oral Clinical Research as a Research nurse, and is actively involved within the centre’s core team. Miss Cullen is responsible for the day to day running of COCR clinics and provides a wide variety of clinical and research governance support within COCR. Furthermore, Miss Cullen is also responsible for all surgical and implant instruments and equipment within COCR and is starting her NEBDN Dental Implant Nursing Course this year.
