Research interests:

My research interests focus on combining in-house physical techniques and central facilities such as neutron scattering and synchrotron x-ray diffraction techniques in the exploration of tooth structure and tooth/restoration complexes (crystallography); novel biomimetic hydroxyapatite surfaces (implantology); and protein adsorption events (biomineralisation/enamel formation). I have secured over 60 days of neutron and synchrotron beamtime in the last five years, and my research has been sponsored by EPSRC, MRC, Wellcome Trust, and QMUL grants.
