Chad Everett Cluff is a Tutor in the Centre of Adult Oral Health, at Bart's and the London, School of Medicine and Dentistry. Gaining a BTEC National Award (2005) in Dental Technology, he went on to complete his studies in 2008 from the Eastman Dental Hospital where he gained his FdSc in Dental Technology awarded by De Montfort University, Leicester. In 2006 while at the Eastman Dental hospital, he was appointed as DCP Group Committee member and was a co-opted council member for the Dental Technologist Association (DTA). His interest in educational pathways for dental technologist led him to be invited to participate in the GDC Educations Committee inspection of the Foundation Degree Dental Technology at De Montfort University (DMU) in 2006. The finding of this inspection led the GDC to conform the requirements for the training of dental technologist and that, on qualification, students are competent to register with the GDC as dental technicians/technologist.
He is an former member of the British Institute of Dental and Surgical Technologists (BIDST) and the Christian Dental Fellowship (CDF). He has previously made editorial contribution to The Journal of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Technology (IMPT) and sat on the Editorial Advisory Panel for the NHS CareerBooklet: First Move Healthcare in 2006. He is an Associate Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) having been awarded the Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT) 2013. He currently sits on the Editorial Board for Primary Dental Journal, produced by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP UK).
