What motivates you about working in the Dental Institute?

My interests are science and the discovery of knowledge, while at the same I am a dentist. As such, dental research aimed at finding solutions for oral disease treatment that will help people maintain their oral health is my motivation to work in the dental institute.

How have you progressed since you started?

My PhD project is about dental related biomaterials. At the beginning I had no idea about biomaterials or chemistry, but after two and half years working in the area I now have far more knowledge. In addition I have gained experience in the areas of molecule biology including learning many new techniques.

What are your goals for your future?

If possible I would like to carry on my current research project with further studies. It would be great if I could continue work related to biomaterials used in the dental tissue engineering field.
